Pilot Testing of GreenBooster additive at the industrial facilities and water craft of the Province of North Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo

In September 2018 there were conducted GreenBooster trials according to the program agreed upon with the Ministry of Energy of the Province of North Kivu in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Emmanuel – 2 and Emmanuel – 3 ships equipped with main diesel engines and Perkins 3777Е06В/2 diesel generator that generates electric power for the ship-building plant. Instruments and equipment used: All current parameters of the processes were monitored by the instruments installed on the ships and the diesel generator. Fuel consumption was monitored by the mass flow meter, and the amount of generated electric power was measured by Mercury 230 ART – 02 CN meter. Atmospheric emissions of exhaust gases were monitored by GIAM-29М-4 gas analyzer.

The use of GreenBooster additive in diesel fuel for transportation and generation of electric power at the diesel power plants allows to reduce the specific fuel consumption by 15 – 20% due to intensified combustion process. At the same time, because of more complete fuel oxidation polluting emissions into the atmosphere reduce significantly. Due to reduced fuel consumption, the atmospheric emission of СО2 green-house gas goes down. All the above advantages from using the fuel with GreenBooster additive lead to a significant reduction of environmental burden caused by transportation and power generation
